Specialty
Gift Baskets and Holiday Crafts
Are you looking for that
special item to give for a holiday gift or is there a special occasion
(Birthday, Anniversary, Baby Shower, Religious
Celebrations) that you would like to present a gift basket and/or a
specialty craft gift? Come down to our location at 60 Kingsland Ave.
Kearny, and/or call and speak to
craft coordinator Sue Sherry at 201-997-6155, ext. 11, or our
employment supervisor Lesmine London at
201-997-6155, ext. 33. Give them the information and what you are
looking for, and they will make specialty gifts baskets and holiday
craft
items just for you!
The Crafters Program is a
statewide program. Individuals who are blind and visually
impaired make all the gifts and craft sold. 100%
of the proceeds of sales with the exception if materials was supplied
to make the craft-material cost will be deducted. There are
currently 45 crafters statewide.
If you know someone who lives with a serious vision loss, call the
Crafters Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired at (201)
997-6155 for information on how we can help. No previous experience in
making crafts is necessary. We come to your home and provide
instruction on making a saleable product. This instruction is provided
at no cost to you, thanks to funding support from the New Jersey
Department of Human Services, Commission for the Blind and Visually
Impaired.
